What are Emotional Assets?
Emotional assets are items that hold sentimental value, often linked to personal memories, traditions, or relationships rather than financial worth. Examples of emotional assets include photo albums, letters, journals, books, jewelry, artwork, handmade crafts, clothing, furniture, heirlooms, gifts from loved ones, or items collected from significant life events.
These assets are invaluable in capturing the essence of your personal experiences and relationships, and they can be preserved and shared with your loved ones through Teleskop’s platform.
Adding Emotional Assets on Teleskop
To help you effectively manage and share your emotional assets, follow these steps:
1. Go to Assets tab and navigate to the Section for emotional assets
2. Make sure that you have a Group set up
As usual Teleskop uses Groups to help you organize your assets. If you do not have a Group set up, do so first. Select "Add Group" and provide the desired name of the group.
3. Add a New Emotional Asset:
Click on the “Add Asset” button within the group.
The only required field is the name of the asset. All other fields are optional.
Be as detailed as possible to ensure clarity for your loved ones.
4. Upload Associated Files:
Attach any relevant digital files such as photos, scanned documents, or videos. This can include images of the item, digital copies of letters, or recordings of significant events.
5. Tag and Assign Recipients:
Use the tagging feature to assign specific recipients who should have access to this emotional asset. If you have not set up Beneficiaries yet you can do that later and come back to edit the asset.
You can select family members or friends who will appreciate and understand the sentimental value of the item.
6. Upload the Information:
At the bottom you can find the dark blue button labeled "Add Emotional Asset". Use this to confirm the upload of the information.
If the button is not dark blue, it means that information is still missing. Make sure that the name field is populated.
Review the information to ensure accuracy and completeness. You can always edit the asset details later if needed.
